Short Tail keywords
Short tail keywords are generic keywords, these t, these types of keywords are very popular and have a huge monthly search volume. These keywords are usually of one or two words like “apple” or “car”. You can say that here user’s search query is not specific.
For example, when a user searches in google for “car” then google will show the most relevant results related to car, but here google will don’t know what is the intent of the user, there are too many possibilities here like users want to buy a car or want information about the car or sell his car.
So, Short tail keywords are less preferred because here user query is not specific, and also their competition is so high. It is very difficult to rank on the first page due to the high competition.
Mid tail keywords have a high volume and traffic potential but also have high competition, these keywords are generally two to three words. These are more descriptive than short-tail keywords.
In mid-tail keywords, user intent is clear than in the short tail. For example, in “Best car 2022”, here user wants to see the best car of 2022.
Long-tail keywords are user queries that are targeted to a very specific query or topic. These are very long search terms and have a low search volume, but very low competition. Due to their low competition, it is easier to rank them. Those keywords which are greater than 3 words are long-tail keywords.
For example, in “Best shoes for men’s” Here users want to see the best shoes for men and eventually can buy them. So, we can say that long-tail keyword conversion rates are higher than short and mid-tail keywords.

The primary keyword is the main keyword that we targeting for our page. Every page should have at least one primary keyword, so readers and search engines will know what your page is about.
LSI (Latent semantic keywords)
LSI keywords are the variation of your primary keywords, you can say these are the different versions of your main keyword. Every page should have three to four LSI or related keywords. These keywords help search engines to get a better understanding of your content.
For example, if your primary keyword is “best men’s running shoes” then you can use LSI keywords or related keywords like “men’s running shoes price”, “men’s running shoes sale”, “Best running shoes for men’s”, “Buy men’s running shoes”.

Brands keywords are those keywords in which users search for any product or service using a specific brand name. Here users search with a product or service name along with the brand name.
For example, “Buy sports shoes online Amazon” Here users want to buy sports shoes from amazon.
Competitor keywords are those keywords that target the brand name of your competitor. It can be beneficial for brands to use competitor keywords, this will increase your chance of getting a similar type of audience and buyers.
In Geo-targeted keywords users search for specific locations, it can be a country, state, or anywhere in the world. The audience uses search phrases like near them or any other place they are interested in.
